Privacy Policy

Handling of Personal Data in the Services

Upsite takes the processing of your personal data seriously. We ensure fair and transparent data processing in accordance with applicable rules on the processing of personal data.

We process personal data and have therefore adopted this privacy policy, which tells you how we process your data when you use our services.

When you enter into an agreement with Upsite/upsiteapp.com (collectively the services/the service/the system/us/we), you consent to us processing your personal data to the extent necessary for you to make use of the services. You can find the rules on consent under personal data law in Article 6, Paragraph 1, Letter a and Article 7 of the General Data Protection Regulation.

We process the following information about you
  • Consent declarations

  • Name

  • Address

  • Email address

  • Telephone number (optional)

  • IP address

  • Unique phone ID for the purpose of sending notifications (only if you use the app on a phone)

  • Registration of use of the services

  • Transaction data when using the payment solution

In addition to the above, your data is used for statistical purposes in an anonymized form, for the services, including for measuring user behavior and benchmarking.

The purpose of our processing of your information is
  • Processing your purchase and delivering our service

  • Fulfilling your request for products or services

  • Improving our products and services

  • Managing your relationship with us

  • Help, support, and troubleshooting

Your information will only be used for the above-mentioned purposes

Withdrawal of Consent

You can withdraw your consent to the processing of your information and your subscription at any time by unsubscribed from the services on your personal profile on the services, or by contacting customer service at hello@upsiteapp.com.

Please note that if you withdraw your consent, this constitutes a termination of the agreement, and your user profile, as well as associated data, will be deleted and cannot be restored.

Right of complaint: If you believe that we have breached the applicable rules on the protection of personal data in our processing of your information, you can complain to: The Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), Borgergade 28, 5th floor, 1300 Copenhagen K, tel. 33193200 or dt@datatilsynet.dk.

Storage, Termination, and Deletion

We store your information as long as you have a user profile on the services.

Upon termination of the agreement with the services, we will delete your user profile and your information no later than 15 days after you have terminated the agreement. This allows us, for example, to help you if you unsubscribed by mistake. However, if your information or parts of it are used in a pending case, the information necessary for this processing will only be deleted when the case is closed.

External Partners

Your information is disclosed to external partners who process the information on our behalf. We use external partners for, among other things, the technical operation of systems and improvements to the services, sending emails, notifications, and newsletters, as well as targeted marketing, including retargeting, and for your review of the services and our services. These companies are data processors operating under our instructions and process data for which we are data controllers. The data processors must not use the information for any purpose other than fulfilling the agreement with us, and must treat the information confidentially. We have entered into written data processing agreements with our data processors who process personal data on our behalf.

Some of these data processors, e.g., Google Analytics by Google LLC, are established in the USA. The necessary guarantees for the transfer of information to the USA can be secured through the data processor's use of the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. To the extent we use data processors established outside the EU, this will always be done in compliance with valid transfer guarantees, such as Privacy Shield certification or through the conclusion of the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
